Every year around this time, Phoenix locals begin to get really excited for Spring Training! Whether you’re a baseball fanatic or not, what’s a better excuse to get out in the sunshine and have some cold drinks with friends and family? It’s a part of our history, after all!
This year’s season begins March 1st and runs until April 2nd. However, most of the fun happens on March 5th in Scottsdale at the Spring Training Festival! The event is free and you’ll be able to enjoy live music, several food trucks, shop for baseball memorabilia and even test your own athletic skills at interactive stations.
In the evening there will be an official celebration honoring the 2016 inductees to The Cactus League Hall of Fame, followed by a free family movie – baseball themed, of course!
There’s lots of fun to be had by kids and adults of all ages – many rave about their experience on The Dick’s Sporting Goods Whiffle Ball field where you can interact directly with former players and legends of the game.
Grab your favorite people on Saturday, March 5th and go get involved with your baseball-loving community!
