Your Quick & Simple Review: “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”

Probably the most anticipated film since last years The Force Awakens, Rogue One is worth all the hype I had been hearing about.

After the formation of the Galactic Empire, the Rebel Alliance recruits Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) to work with a team including Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) to steal the design schematics of the Empire’s new super weapon, the Death Star.

Taking place right before Episode 4 “A New Hope”, and a story real Star Wars fans should be familiar with, this spin off gives you a really good look at how things came to be in the original trilogy.  Although there weren’t any real stand out characters in this one, including the main one Jyn Erso, the story they told was really exciting.  However, it did take a bit to get any of the action going but when it did… Look Out!!!

I think this is a film fans will be happy with as you’ll see some familiar faces, even surprised by some of them, interesting new ones, as well as everything you would expect from this franchise. Personally there was only one character I was disappointed with and that was because I thought there would be more but I’ll have to make due with what I got and am excited to see it again because, as a Star Wars fan, this is a MUST SEE MOVIE.
